We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Business Financial Crime Risk Performance.

You'll report directly to the Global Head of Business Financial Crime, which is a 1st line of defense function within our Wealth and Premier Banking Business Risk and Resilience Team that combine expertise (both 'Run the Bank' and 'Change the Bank') in Customer Due Diligence, Exit Management, Screening, and Transaction Monitoring.

Working with markets, product teams, risk stewards, operations, technology teams, and data teams, you'll ensure our safe and sustainable growth. This is an opportunity that will see you work across teams to enhance performance, improve customer experience and drive simplification.

In this role you'll:

  • Agree the scope and framework to measure performance of all service-owned, delivered or supported by teams linked to Financial Crime Activities
  • Drive clear measurement of performance through metrics and scorecards
  • Ensure the performance being measured is accurate and reported on an ongoing basis and, considers the end-to-end customer life cycle
  • Make recommendations and drive action to improve performance by working across stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of key projects and programmes
  • Take a proactive approach drive robust challenge and review
  • Drive implementation of changes by working with various stakeholder groups to simplify and optimise processes
  • Support in managing downstream impact to our relevant customers and frontline staff

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience and exposure in ensuring performance management across the client life cycle is effectively measured
  • Experience of driving and managing Process Optimisation, Six Sigma or similar, Re-engineering and Continuous Improvement initiatives (including supporting with training)
  • Financial crime compliance experience as a change agent or subject matter expert, with a good understanding of current and potential future technologies within this space
  • Experience of managing relationships with regional and country stakeholders, together with a proven ability to work across lines of business and regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of financial crime risk controls
  • Experience in conducting trend analysis and identifying key improvement opportunities, using strong analytical, decision-making, and lateral thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify links between programmes of work
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, as well as the inter-personal skills to deal with executives at all levels with the ability to review and challenge decisions
  • Previous experience within financial services/banking is essential
