Fresh from an $80 million funding round, Zopa Bank aims to elevate its brand this year and expand customer growth beyond aggregators.
With a new current account launch and innovations across products, Zopa Bank is moving towards a high-engagement, app-based relationship with a broader audience. Our goal is to make the Zopa Bank brand more mainstream and meaningful to our customers.
At this pivotal moment, we are seeking an experienced Head of Brand Design and Creative to elevate Zopa's design approach and help us present a distinctive, compelling, and coherent visual identity. You will lead the overhaul of our design system across the entire customer journey and enhance our creative output.
A day in the life- Lead and direct our brand's creative expression across channels, bringing fresh ideas to how we communicate through design.
- Manage the core Zopa Bank visual identity and related brand design system assets in collaboration with Experience Design and UI teams.
- Develop a cohesive, contemporary visual approach across the entire brand experience, including marketing assets, web, and app content, as well as CRM and social channels.
- Oversee the development of brand creative and collaborate with external agencies on key projects, campaigns, or advertising.
- Innovate in performance creative, scaling it while maintaining design principles and standards.
- Partner with Experience Design to incorporate more creative expression into UI and UX processes.
- Work with product teams to integrate creative elements into digital experiences, aligning with our brand proposition.
- Align visual and verbal identities by collaborating closely with the Copywriting team on tone of voice.
- You have a holistic design approach, with strong knowledge across various specialisms and excellent collaboration skills.
- You are a great communicator, capable of telling compelling stories about design and creativity.
- You possess a strong graphic design background with experience across multiple formats and channels, familiar with design systems and tools like Figma and Adobe, and understand accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG AA). You are also experimenting with AI in your creative process.
- You have experience working in digital product companies, demonstrating how your brand design impacted outcomes (fintech experience is a plus but not essential).
- You can showcase experience in implementing brand design within web and app environments, including creative illustrations or motion.
- You can iterate based on feedback and data, and you are capable of guiding teams and external partners to high-quality results.
- You are entrepreneurial, autonomous, and adept at balancing strategic and hands-on creative work.
We're on the move!
By the end of 2025, Zopa will relocate to a new headquarters at 20 Water Street, Canary Wharf, fostering collaboration and creativity for our 900 employees amid our growth plans.

This hybrid role requires coming to the London office 2-3 days a week. You may also work from abroad up to 120 days a year, subject to right to work in the country of choice. We'll support your work and home life from day one.
