plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,380 per annum

This is a single-handed Audiologist position, responsible for clinical and managerial delivery of a hospital-based Audiology service, providing in-patient and out-patient care. You will maintain professional standards and develop the service in Shetland. Your duties include providing comprehensive Audiology services such as rehabilitative care, complex diagnostic assessments, hearing aid programming and repairs, and supporting visiting ENT clinicians.
You will manage your daily clinical workload and supervise, train, and line-manage a part-time Audiology assistant. Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent communication with professionals, patients, carers, and relatives are essential.
The successful candidate must have:
- Audiology BSc or equivalent (e.g., BAAT Parts 1 & 2 with NC Physiological Measurement)
- Postgraduate qualification in audiology or related leadership/business development
- Current registration with RCCP or equivalent
