Job Description
Head of Architecture - Business Systems (Permenant, hybrid working 4 days on site)
We're recruiting for a senior Head of Architecture to lead the strategy and delivery of enterprise business systems within a complex, multi-function organisation. This is a key leadership role focused on shaping a multi-year technology roadmap and driving large-scale transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Define and own enterprise application architecture strategy and roadmap
- Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects, driving high performance and strong culture
- Establish architectural governance, standards, and best practices
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives
- Oversee delivery across multiple programmes, ensuring scalable, integrated solutions
- Proven experience in enterprise architecture leadership roles
- Strong background across business systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, supply chain, retail platforms)
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes (e.g. SAP/S4HANA)
- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures, integration patterns, and modern delivery practices
- Experience in retail or supply chain environments
- Architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, cloud certifications)
This role requires a strategic, people-focused leader who can balance technical expertise with strong communication and cultural leadership.
