Head Housekeeper

Avondale Care Home, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8EH

Head Housekeeper: 37.5 hour contract. Shift Pattern: 9am to 5pm. Weekend flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for residents.
• Maintain a warm and inviting home through high standards of housekeeping, with strong attention to detail.
• Oversee the purchase, handling and consumption of cleaning chemicals; manage a budget; and adhere to health and safety requirements and infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a housekeeping team, ideally within a social care or hospital environment.
• Highly motivated, professional in approach, with excellent communication skills.
• Warm, friendly manner and ability to multitask.
• Authorized to work in the United Kingdom and prepared to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; satisfactory references may be required.
