Hardware Test Development Engineer

Hardware Test Development Engineer - Electronic Manufacturing - Hybrid / Essex - Competitive. A Hardware Engineer with proficiency with test instrumentation and experience of developing Automated Test Equipment in a production environment will take responsibility for developing and supporting ATE systems for a Global leader in Embedded Computing products. Hybrid working and generous salary package on offer.

The Hardware Test Development Engineer will bring:

• A formal Electronic Engineering qualification.
• Proven understanding of electronic hardware (digital/analogue circuits / high speed interfaces).
• Commercial experience developing Automated Test Equipment in a production environment.
• Proficiency with test instrumentation and test automation tools.
• Experience with DFT, BIST and diagnostic firmware features.
• Experience with embedded computing systems or complex multilayer PCBs.
• Experience in aerospace, defence or similar high-reliability environments.

Exposure to the following would also be highly beneficial: Embedded Computing systems, Manufacturing processes such as SMT, assembly or AOI; experience with environmental testing and the ability to design simple custom electronics for test fixtures.
