The Product Test and Diagnosis team requires additional expertise and experience in high-performance computer system hardware testing. Our mission is to deliver high-quality manufacturing test solutions for advanced technology products. The role involves close collaboration with the hardware design team and other PTD team members to define and develop appropriate test solutions that ensure hardware quality.
The TeamThe Product Test and Diagnosis team detects and manages hardware defects arising during manufacturing and usage, covering chips, boards, and finished systems both at manufacturing sites and in the field.
Responsibilities and Duties- Design and develop test software supporting hardware testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct test coverage analysis and planning aligned with overall test strategy and quality goals.
- Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to deploy test solutions into production.
- Provide technical support and create SOPs for CM partners.
- Support failure analysis for reliability issues and field returns to improve test coverage.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop and implement solutions.
- Support manufacturing test solutions from NPI to high-volume production.
- Analyze test results and supporting data to inform decisions.
- Identify root causes of technical issues spanning hardware and software.
- Experience in manufacturing testing of advanced electronic systems.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Python, C/C++, Bash, and Git.
- Experience using Linux command line.
- Ability to collaborate with software, silicon, and hardware design teams.
- Problem-solving skills for complex electronic systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience developing tests for high-speed interconnects (PCIe Gen5/6, Ethernet).
- Experience with microcontroller development/debug environments.
- Experience in both NPI and volume manufacturing testing.
- Several years of relevant experience.
- Basic data analysis skills.
- Experience with Assembly programming.
