Hairdressing Lecturer

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious further educational colleges to help employ an experienced professionals on a full-time contract for their Lecturer roles.

Role: Hairdressing Lecturer

Location: Peterborough.

Type: Full Time - Temporary.

Salary: up to £40 per hour

Start: Sept

• Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and assessment across Hairdressing programmes, covering cutting, colouring, styling, hair treatments, salon techniques, health and safety, and professional practice.
• Plan and develop lesson plans, schemes of work, learning resources, and assessments in line with awarding body requirements, curriculum standards, and current industry practices.
• Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement while providing constructive feedback, personal tutoring, pastoral support, and guidance to promote progression and employability.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, internal verification, industry engagement, competitions, events, and salon activities, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding.

• Relevant qualification or professional experience in Hairdressing, Hair and Beauty, Barbering, or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering Hairdressing within a UK Further Education (FE) college, preferably across Levels 1-3.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong practical hairdressing skills and knowledge of cutting, colouring, styling, salon operations, assessment, safeguarding, health and safety, and current industry standards, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
