About this jobThis apprenticeship is designed for individuals who wish to have a full-time career in coaching gymnastics.
You will assist our qualified coaches with the delivery of our recreational and development gymnastics program, giving feedback to participants and parents regarding progress.
Leading by example showing positive coaching practices, to verbally communicate effectively and appropriately to children.
Main Duties- To assist in the delivery of a high standard of recreational gymnastics programme at beginner to advanced recreational.
- Ensure sessions always remain upbeat, fun & progressive.
- Assist in the delivery of our daytime & school holiday activities.
- Setting good examples to fellow coaches & gymnasts.
- Having good customer service and communication skills.
- Able to set up & de-rig the room as and when needed.
- To undertake administration duties with regards to sport, for example registers and membership database entries.
- To assist in the running and operation of in-house and regional events.
Other information: Holiday Entitlement: 6 weeks including bank holidays
Reporting to: Lead Coach and General Manager. As a trainee coach, you will have some responsibilities in reporting back to your line manager with any issues that you may occur within the department, meaning they can then investigate and deal with the matter.
To ensure equipment repair and maintenance requirements are reported to your line manager or the facility manager, also that any health and safety concerns for gymnasts, staff and guests are considered at all times.
