As Group Health and Safety Advisor, you'll join a close-knit and highly experienced HSE team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. If you're looking for a role offering genuine variety, influence and long-term career development, this could be the perfect next step.The Opportunity As Group Health and Safety Advisor, you'll play a key role in:
- Supporting Health, Safety and Environmental activities across multiple UK sites and business sectors.
- Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Carrying out accident, incident and near-miss investigations and identifying practical preventative measures.
- Producing and reviewing risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
- Supporting contractor management, permit-to-work systems and RAMS reviews.
- Promoting fire safety, emergency preparedness and environmental compliance.
- Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and initiatives to improve HSE awareness across the business.
- Preparing sites for external audits, regulatory inspections and insurance visits.
- Working closely with managers and operational teams to influence HSE policy, performance and best practice.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a dedicated Health and Safety role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
- Experience carrying out audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of COSHH, contractor management, permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to positively influence colleagues at all levels.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to challenge constructively.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence and be happy to travel up to 25% of the time to sites across the UK
- £37,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
