Job Description

Are you ready to take the lead in group-level financial consolidation, treasury, and IFRS expertise - all within a dynamic, listed company?


For our client, an international market leader in the real estate industry headquartered in Dilbeek, we are looking for a Group Financial Controller & Treasury.


In this high-impact role, you'll report directly to the Director of Reporting, Planning & Analysis and play a key role in steering the group's financial accuracy, compliance, and cash management.


Key Responsibilities


Group Reporting & Control


  • Lead the consolidation and preparation of stand-alone and group financial statements (under IFRS).
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
  • Act as internal IFRS expert, advising on complex accounting matters (leases, pensions, stock options ).
  • Coordinate financial reporting to external stakeholders.
  • Support M&A transactions and post-deal integration.
  • Manage cost recharging between central and operational units.
  • Be the go-to contact for external auditors.


Corporate Accounting - Holding & Financing Entities


  • Ensure accurate accounting for holding and financing entities (Luxembourg & Guernsey).
  • Review VAT filings and coordinate audit processes for these entities.


Treasury


  • Supervise intra-group cash pooling and financing structures.
  • Maintain banking relationships and oversee covenant reporting.
  • Prepare cash forecasts and monitor FX risk exposure.
  • Optimize group cash usage and liquidity.


️ Systems & Processes


  • Own and manage consolidation systems (HFM) and internal financial controls (ITGC).
  • Improve reporting systems and contribute to finance transformation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.


Team Leadership


  • Lead, coach, and develop the Senior Accountant Holding & Consolidation.
  • Set team objectives and drive performance.


Your Profile


  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial controlling, reporting, or consolidation in a multinational environment (preferably listed).
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting skills.
  • Big 4 experience is a strong asset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of HFM or other consolidation software is a plus.
  • Fluent in English - knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office.
