Mitie is recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative to help maintain outdoor spaces across a range of sites to a high standard.
The role involves carrying out a variety of grounds maintenance duties, operating horticultural equipment safely, and supporting seasonal services while ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, border maintenance, and leaf clearance.
- Undertake litter picking and weed spraying where required.
- Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely.
- Deliver winter maintenance services, including gritting and snow clearance.
- Assist with seasonal duties such as Christmas tree installation.
- Report hazards and site issues to management.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and complete any required training.
Applicants should have:
- A willingness to work outdoors in a variety of environments.
- Good understanding of smartphone technology.
- A positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous grounds maintenance experience.
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
- Full UK driving licence (required for roles involving company vehicles).
