Graphic Designer - Contract

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the art direction of a project, including the selection, illustration, tailoring and treatment of graphics and images in line with brand guidelines, and project specific requirements. Throughout the project life cycle they will take responsibility for ensuring that the art direction is followed and that all deliveries meet the visual design requirement. As well as art direction on any project they may also be required to carry out visual design work to deliver the graphical elements of the project. In doing this, they will have the support of a visual designer in the team, who they will also mentor and support in their creative growth and skill development.

Key activities and responsibilities:

• Work with the Learning Experience Designer in creating the art direction for the project
• Design graphics and select imagery in line with brand guidelines for internal and external projects, ensuring quality standards and efficiency requirements are met.
• Lead and support the development of a library of reusable assets for graphic design purposes.
• Select and tailor assets from a reusable asset library.
• Provide art direction on projects.
• Take a proactive approach to improving graphic design processes and practices to drive improvements in quality and efficiency.
