About the Role - We are seeking a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer / Geologist to join our Leeds Office. You should demonstrate some experience in geo-environmental site investigation and assessment, remediation and validation, earthworks, contract management, planning, and regulatory liaison. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading Civil, Structural & Geotechnical Engineering Consultancies, collaborating with governments, businesses, rail, architects, and planners to provide integrated solutions across disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop technical and project management skills, including providing robust technical assessments, solutions, customer service, and business development within a growing team.
- Gain experience across sectors such as road and rail, residential, industrial/commercial, and leisure developments, delivering technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
- Write Preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive Ground Investigation reports, developing an understanding of ground investigation, sampling, and laboratory analysis techniques.
- Understand contaminated land legislation and planning regimes to provide ground investigation scoping and risk assessment advice, alongside developing knowledge of geology, ground models, and geotechnical engineering.
- Deliver projects within a multidisciplinary consultancy, with awareness of structural and civil capabilities.
- Proficiently use Microsoft Office, communicate effectively (verbal and written), and demonstrate strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and basic commercial awareness.
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Geology/Earth Sciences, or related fields.
- Preferably some experience in sectors including road and rail, residential, industrial/commercial, and leisure developments.
- Ability to write Preliminary Risk Assessments and Ground Investigation reports.
