We are expanding our new Fire Consultancy business unit, which will position Harmony as one of the UK's leading fire engineering and life safety consultancy practices.

Our Edinburgh consultancy hub provides services across fire engineering design, FRAEW support, external wall analysis, RIBA stage advisory and fire risk strategy for a range of residential and complex buildings.
About the RoleAs Graduate Fire Engineer, you will support the delivery of technical fire engineering tasks across multiple client portfolios. You will work closely with senior engineers, gaining exposure to fire strategies, risk assessments, external wall reviews and RIBA stage engineering support.
This role offers structured development, clear career progression and the opportunity to grow into a Senior Fire Engineer, FRAEW specialist or broader technical consultancy pathways.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of fire engineering strategies and reports
- Build understanding of the Fire Safety (Scotland) Act 2005 and Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006
- Support input into the Single Building Assessment (SBA) process
- Contribute to technical analysis across fire risk and external wall reviews
- Capture site evidence using digital platforms such as Bluebeam, RISKBASE and RISKFLAG
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation
- Support the consultancy team in delivering client work and meeting deadlines
- Develop technical competency through structured mentoring and on the job learning
- Degree in Fire Engineering or Level 6 fire related qualification
- Ideally 12 months experience in the fire engineering or consultancy industry
- Understanding of UK and Scottish fire safety legislation
- Graduate level professional membership (GiFireE or equivalent) or working towards
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Competent using digital inspection tools
- Well organised, proactive and comfortable working within a growing technical team
