  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our agile delivery processes
Why we are hiring

We are looking for a self motivated, organised, process oriented graduate to join our established Delivery Team and expand our capacity to deliver successful digital projects for high profile clients like United Nations, Oxfam and UCL.

About Zoocha

Founded in 2009, Zoocha is a leading Drupal specialist digital agency based in the UK, with offices in Spain and Brazil. Over 80 passionate thinkers, makers, and doers working across a range of disciplines including UX, strategy, design, development, hosting, project management, and support. We're a friendly, lively, and fast paced place to work, with regular team nights out and a wide range of social events on offer across our three offices - and we're a certified Great Place to Work, too.

We're certified in ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ICO, ISO 9001, ISO 22301, FSQS, NHS DSPT, JOSCAR, Fair payment Code, ISO 14001 and are Carbon Neutral Britain certified. Our commitment to environmental sustainability sits at the heart of Zoocha's products and business processes.

Our work and clients

We build long lasting, collaborative relationships with clients and push them, ourselves and the world around us forward through the work we do together.

With over 50 Drupal clients, our work is varied, but we have a focus on the not for profit, government, education and travel sectors. Current clients include:

  • University College London
  • University of Portsmouth
  • Oxfam
  • Professional Darts Corporation (PDC)
  • Topdeck Travel
  • Westminster City Council
  • Greater London Authority
  • Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
  • Guy's and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust
  • United Nations
  • Ofsted

As a Delivery Manager at Zoocha, you will be responsible for the resourcing and successful delivery of our projects - on time, within budget and in line with our quality standards.

Developing your understanding of Delivery Management & Scrum

Joining the team as a graduate, you will be expected to focus on learning our agile project management processes and what good looks like as your first priority.

Some key areas include:

  • Understanding agile principles and why they are the backbone of software delivery
  • Learning specifically about Scrum and its practical application at Zoocha, achieving Scrum Alliance certification
  • Becoming fluent in the language of agile delivery and concepts such as Definition of Sprint Ready and Definition of Done

Training in this area will be provided through a combination of 1 2 1 sessions, shadowing other team members and independent learning, alongside hands on opportunities with smaller scale projects or suitable tasks.

Collaborating internally with Zoocha teams

In order to deliver against client expectations, you will be required to efficiently resource tasks and projects, taking into consideration skill set and task interdependencies. As part of this, you will need to understand the wider business priorities beyond your own client roadmaps and be able to work closely with your fellow Delivery Managers in order to deliver against said priorities - for example, participating in group resource negotiations as part of scheduling sessions. In addition, depending on the scope of the project you are managing, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with team members from all departments and levels of seniority.

Establishing productive working relationships with Zoocha clients

As a Delivery Manager you are often the bridge between the client and the delivery team, therefore it is important that you are able to build strong relationships with the clients that you work with.

Specifically this would include:

  • Entering all engagements with a positive and collaborative mindset
  • Capturing and circulating meaningful and complete actions and next steps
  • Understanding your client's goals and focus areas
  • Clearly communicating risks and opportunities

This is a hybrid working role, with the flexibility to work remotely some of the time, but with an expectation that you'll be based at our Hertford office at least two days per week. Some travel to clients is also expected.

Mandatory requirements
  • Based in the UK, ideally within regular commuting distance of our Hertford office.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • You must have a valid visa or work permit.
  • No recruiters please - your application will be disregarded.
What we're looking for from you
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A keen understanding of what great customer service looks like.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with confidence to communicate at senior manager and director level within large organisations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to elicit and analyse information from a variety of sources, presenting it to the relevant audience in an appropriate and understandable form.
  • A keen interest in technology and its application in solving business problems.
Why work at Zoocha
  • Flexible working plus the ability to work from any of our offices (UK, Spain, Brazil) for periods of time
  • Outstanding benefits including profit share, private healthcare, gym and wellness fund
  • Unlimited training budget
  • An inclusive workplace with active advocacy networks for women, LGBTQI employees and people from ethnic minorities
  • Regular team socials and all inclusive monthly social events

Although we strive to provide feedback for all applications to Zoocha, if after we acknowledge receipt of your application you do not hear from us again, please consider that we will not be moving forward with your candidacy.

No recruitment agencies, please. Applications submitted via agencies will not be considered.

We truly appreciate your interest in joining our team and thank you for taking the time to apply.

We're proud to showcase our work, we look forward to you working with us on the next project!
