Graduate Civil Engineer

Overview

In Edinburgh, you'll join the growing Civil Engineering team, providing the opportunity to create a milestone in your career that you can reflect on with pride and satisfaction.

You'll work on a variety of challenging and interesting schemes from inception through construction, to completion, across a range of sectors. With the support of senior colleagues, you'll be involved in the production of engineering drawings, reports and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the production of engineering drawings, reports and calculations under the supervision of senior colleagues.
• Work on a variety of challenging and interesting schemes from inception through construction to completion across a range of sectors.
• Contribute to project delivery with support from the Civil Engineering team.

Training and progression

Graduate Training Programme which will help to underpin your progression and give you the necessary skills to undertake the role. You'll be encouraged to join our ICE training scheme and receive mentoring and support to work toward Incorporated or Member status.

What you need to succeed

• Ideally holding a Civil Engineering degree grade 2:1 or above, or in your final year studying toward this qualification.
• Good communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress your career.
• A problem solver, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
