Graduate Assistant Project Manager - Guy Carpenter

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Graduate Trainee, with strong data analysis skills, to join the Project Team within GC Global Specialties (GS).

This hands-on Project Management role offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience in executive operations and strategic decision-making within a fast-paced corporate environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the GS Chief of Staff / Head of Operations and senior leadership team, providing support in various project management and administrative tasks.

The GC Global Specialties Division is an industry leading broking division providing reinsurance broking solutions to clients across the world with a core offering in London, New York, Bermuda and Singapore.

What can you expect?

  • The Project Team within Global Specialties is responsible for the implementation of the GC and GS Strategy working closely with the Specialties teams: Broking, Analytics, Strategic advisory, strategy and our Client Support services team.

  • This exposure will give you a rounded understanding and appreciation for Guy Carpenter and the world of reinsurance broking.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across GC to gather and analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

  • Participate in project meetings, taking notes and tracking action items to ensure follow-up.

  • Help coordinate communication between project stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and information sharing.

  • Support the design and creation of Management Information (MI) reporting, and provide meaningful insights to leadership team on the operational statuses of the teams.

  • Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities to inform project strategies.

  • Support the development of project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions based on project experiences.

What you need to have:

  • Hold a 2:1 university degree (or equivalent qualification) or above.

  • Ability to work with a wide range of technology from internal databases to Microsoft office (Excel, word and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and writing skills.

  • A proactive self-starter with superior organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work when deadlines are tight.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing constructive stakeholder relationships.

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to the changing demands of the business.

  • Right to Work in the UK is required.
