  • Supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Managing classroom behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and participation.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Promoting an inclusive classroom where every pupil feels supported and able to succeed.
Requirements or Skills:
  • A degree in any subject.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or working with children and young people.
  • Experience working with children or young people through schools, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, care, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A calm, confident, and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A willingness to complete additional CPD training, including Cover Supervisor, Safeguarding, SEND, and Behaviour Management training.
Benefits:
  • Competitive rates of pay with temp-to-perm opportunities available.
  • Speedy registration process & fast-track compliance - APSCo Compliance+ accredited for the highest safer recruitment standards.
  • Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your schedule.
  • Culture-matched placements - we take the time to understand your career goals and match you with schools that fit your values.
  • Priority Partnership school network - access to trusted SEN schools who work with us on long-term staffing and community initiatives.
  • 5+ CPD courses completed before placement, including Safeguarding, SEND Awareness, Behaviour Management, and Cover Supervisor training, with access to further accredited development through Milk Academy.
  • FREE PSHE lesson plans and classroom resources designed by experienced teachers.
  • FREE Educator Wellbeing resources and access to our community hub.
  • School Preparation Pack with handover notes and school guides, helping you feel confident from your first day.
  • 24/7 support from your dedicated Milk Education consultant throughout your placement.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
