Job Description

TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the Public Sector to recruit a temporary Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer in Dublin.
Location: Dublin 15
Hours: 9am to 5pm, 35hour working week
Contract: Temporary 6 month fixed term contract
Pay-rate: €19.50 - €30.07 per hour depending on previous relative public sector experience

The Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer will provide administrative support and manage essential HR functions within the department, including payroll and time returns. The role requires proficiency in SAP HR, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Process and validate employee time returns accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity.
  • Work closely with HR and line managers to resolve any discrepancies or missing data in time submissions.
  • Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy in data entry and compliance with internal controls.
  • Maintain and update employee records in SAP HR.
  • Generate and analyse payroll reports from SAP HR and Excel for review and approval.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding time returns, payroll issues, and general HR-related matters via phone and email.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR or payroll department as needed.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll and employee data at all times.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficient in SAP HR - particularly in time management and payroll modules.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident and professional phone manner.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
