Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for aGeneral Practitionerto join our Healthcareteam at HMP Drake Hall, a women's closed prison located in Eccleshall, Stafford. Within this role you will be working closely with a full multidisciplinary team including an ACP and NMP to deliver high quality healthcare services.

Ideal applicants for this role will have a special interest in female health,and have experience with LARC insertion and removal. This year the site hopes to open a healthcare hub focusing on female specific health needs such as pregnancy, menopause and sexual health, the GP within this role will be actively involved within healthcare services in the hub.

Monday 8am-4.30pm Wednesday8am-4.30pm Friday8am-4.30pm This position ispart time role working 24 hours per week,

You'll receive an annual salary between£119,140 up to £122,886per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Requirements
  • MBChB or MBBS
  • Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
  • Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
  • Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
  • RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
