Job Description

Government Relations Specialist II

We have an opportunity for a Government Relations Specialist II to join our team at Honeywell, in Bracknell, where you will support the development and execution of the company's government relations strategies for the UK and EU region. You will monitor legislative and regulatory developments, help maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders, and contribute to advocacy efforts that advance Honeywell's interests.

In this role, you will contribute to Honeywell's reputation and relationships with government stakeholders. By engaging with government officials, policymakers, and industry associations, you will help advance Honeywell's positions and support the company's participation in policy discussions and decision-making processes.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model, with some occasional travel expected within UK and Brussels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the GR team in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the GR team with advocacy as required for Honeywell's positions on legislative and regulatory issues through research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Track policy and regulatory developments, assess business impacts, and help shape strategic responses.
  • Support GR Director(s) to represent Honeywell in industry forums and collaborate internally to align policy positions with business objectives.
  • Prepare briefings and reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and handle essential administrative tasks.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in government relations, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.

  • Master's Degree, MA/MBA in Political science or Economics, public administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Multi-lingual candidate (e.g. French, German, etc.) to support EU engagement.
  • A detail-oriented and methodical approach to managing research, reporting, and administrative workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of energy, industrial technology, or manufacturing regulatory environment.
  • Experience in a corporate government relations role, preferably in the technology, digital or manufacturing sector.
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
