Job Description
Governance and Compliance Senior Analyst 
This role is responsible for driving financial governance, end to end contract oversight, and process automation within Global IT. The analyst supports IT leadership teams by ensuring supplier contracts are managed effectively, governance standards are upheld, and reporting processes deliver transparency and efficiency across IT operations.
Location & Working ArrangementNewcastle upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom - Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor IT financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governance standards.
- Analyze cost drivers and resource allocation to provide actionable insights for IT leadership.
- Provide workforce and cost planning through detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Provide end to end oversight of IT supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with governance policies and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate contract records, track key dates, and coordinate renewals to avoid service disruption.
- Act as a governance partner to IT teams, ensuring processes align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure consistency and adherence to frameworks.
- Drive improvements in contract governance through automation and digital tools.
- Design and maintain robust reporting frameworks that consolidate financial, operational, and performance data.
- Build and optimise spreadsheets and dashboards to provide clear, real time visibility of IT spend and performance metrics.
- Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure integrity and reliability.
- Develop and maintain custom applications and tools to streamline financial reporting and governance processes.
- Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Identify opportunities for digital solutions that enhance governance and compliance.
- Prepare and present financial and operational reports for IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to global governance initiatives by ensuring consistent processes and standards across regions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, and cost optimisation.
- Strong understanding of contract governance and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with automation tools and app development platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
- Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
