Golang Software Engineer Cambridge

You will join the significant R&D teams in Cambridge that create and improve the products behind the company's rapid growth. Our software engineers work across a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset.
This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.
What will I be doing:As an engineer, your role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace's services and offerings on existing products,
- Building and maintaining greenfield services,
- Researching and implementing features that align with the Cloud Security product feature set,
- Investigating and furthering our unique methodology in defending against unknown cyber-attacks,
- Innovation is of paramount importance and as such, creativity in approach is encouraged as much as traditional project-based development.
We welcome applications from engineers who have a solution-focused mindset combined with an analytical approach and problem-solving skills. During the interview process you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to program using Golang/Python and will show an understanding of writing code in a production environment. Additionally, it's likely that you'll be:
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions as well as having the ability to work cooperatively within a team,
- Experience working with microservice architectures and building monitoring/observability metrics,
- Understanding of cloud native landscapes (AWS or Azure or GCP),
- Knowledgeable of containerized environments would be beneficial (Docker or Kubernetes).
