Established in 2004, BioPhorum is a business-to-business membership organization that fosters collaboration among life science companies to accelerate sector progress.
The company operates on a subscription model and has created 11 targeted " Phorums " covering areas such as Drug Substance, Drug Development, Fill Finish, Technology Strategy, Supply Chain Resilience, IT, Data and Digital, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, Quality, Regulatory, and Sustainability.
BioPhorum's facilitators lead over ninety initiatives involving more than 7,000 experts, serving a client base of over 150 organizations, including 18 of the top 20 global (bio)pharmacos.
Recently, BioPhorum launched its first data product, completed an acquisition, and is planning further growth in core and adjacent markets. The organization is hiring a Global Change Facilitator.
The RoleOverview
Global Change Facilitators are vital members of Phorum teams, ensuring outcomes from member workstreams align with BioPhorum's collaborative goals. They facilitate environments where experts share best practices, develop guidance, and benchmark performance, combining project management, scientific methods, creative thinking, and stakeholder engagement to guide teams toward clear outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Phorum teams to facilitate, lead, and guide workstreams, developing topics and engaging members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Create engaging meetings that foster community and collaboration among workstream members.
- Manage projects to ensure delivery of outcomes within set timelines.
- Lead and facilitate in-person and virtual events, ensuring they deliver value to members.
- Define impactful deliverables like publications, proofs of concept, and conference presentations, assessing their value from the start.
- Monitor member engagement, identify issues early, and work with teams to address them.
- Maintain and update BioPhorum systems and materials to support ongoing activities and outcomes.
- Surface and communicate value stories from workstreams to demonstrate collaboration benefits.
- Share feedback and insights with the broader team to enhance member satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Degree or experience in life sciences, pharma, or biotech with relevant sector knowledge, including CDMOs or consulting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, influencing and building relationships while adapting communication styles.
- Enjoyment of collaborative processes, initiating dialogue, extracting information, and forming solutions.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, accessible language to facilitate industry change.
- Experience managing projects or change programs within life sciences, structured to meet timelines and governance standards.
- A team player committed to continuous improvement, providing and receiving constructive feedback professionally.
- Good judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to act decisively.
- Comfort with remote work, proactively engaging and adapting communication methods.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, identifying growth and scaling opportunities.
- Support in account management and participation in member events as needed.
Location
This is a home-based role with travel expected within the UK and internationally for events and meetings.
