Geometrical Algorithms Specialist

My client, located in the Eindhoven area in The Netherlands, is part of one of the world's largest suppliers to the IC manufacturing industry. And no, it is not ASML!
The team specializes in the development of high-tech software tools for the generation, design rule checking, definition and validation of semiconductor designs and layouts. The software has various highly complex algorithms and performance challenges.
The team is looking for an algorithm expert with experience in geometrical shape processing.
Key responsibilities
Develop code and documentation for a variety software projects, design and implement bug fixes
Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and schedule
Define software specifications and translate those into algorithms and architecture
Perform software tests on code and enhancements
Compile data for software status reports
Shared ownership of significantly sized software
Interact with users
Key requirements
- MSc in Computer Science, 5 -10 years of experience
- Experience in large (50+ person years) software engineering projects, working in a team
- Experience with different development methods
- Experience with high performance (2D) geometrical shape processing
- Must be able to predict and analyze runtime/memory complexity of algorithms
- Fluent in C++
- Scripting in python, shell
- Fluent in English
- Willing to relocate to the Eindhoven area
