Milk Education is recruiting a purpose-driven and ambitious Geography Teacher for a Secondary School in Ellesmere Port. The contract may be long term or short term, starting in April or as soon as possible, until the end of the school year.
What You'll Be Doing in the Role:- Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work
- Be able to motivate students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies
- Encourage curiosity, problem solving and independent learning
- Create a positive and structured learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Good level of ICT skills, ideally including innovative use of interactive whiteboards
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Successful teaching experience at secondary level (including teaching practice), ideally experience in multi ethnic urban schools and working in an 11-16 school
- Excellent rates of pay
