Job Description
General Warehouse Operative - Gatwick

Contract: Temporary Pay:£13 per hourHours: Approximately 40 hours per week

We're recruiting a dependable General Warehouse Operative to support our courier warehouse in Reading. You'll help ensure parcels are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently as part of the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Parcel Processing - Sort, scan, and move parcels through the warehouse.

  • Loading & Unloading - Assist with vehicle loading and unloading.

  • Health & Safety - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a tidy workspace.

  • Equipment Use - Operate handheld scanners and basic warehouse equipment.

  • Team Collaboration - Work effectively with colleagues to meet operational targets.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or courier environment

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced setting

  • Basic understanding of scanning systems (training provided)
