The Education Specialists are currently working with a number of primary schools in Widnes who are looking for reliable and motivated Teaching Assistants to support with flexible supply work. This includes day to day cover, short term roles, and longer term opportunities.
In this role, you will support pupils in the classroom, assist teachers with lesson delivery, and help create a calm and engaging learning environment. You will need to adapt quickly to different settings while ensuring pupils feel supported and encouraged.
You will be expected to follow safeguarding procedures, support behaviour management, and contribute positively to each school environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Assist with preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
- Provide general classroom and administrative support.
- Previous experience working with children or in schools is desirable.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
