Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitionerto join ourhealthcare teamsat HMP Five Wellsa category CPrison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The site supports around 1800 patients the majority of whom are aged between 30-39. However the site also have a cohort of elderly patients who will need support with long term conditions, because of this the role would suit a GP who enjoys delivering end to end care.
HMP Five Wells is a state of the art prison offering a modern clinical environment and facilities, you will be working closely with a large multi-disciplinary team, as well as working alongside another General Practitioner.
Dr Alex Griffiths on working as a GP for Health in Justice
Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.30am-5pm
This is a part time role working 8 hours, or one day a week
We can offer flexibility on which day is worked.
Youll receive an annual salary up to£129,500per annum FTE - depending on experience

Provide medical leadershipand expert advice, regarding medical and primary care issues to the widerhealthcare team; engaging with the Practice Plus Group wellbeing approach
Delivereffective patient care developing high levels of communication with patients;identifying and utilising evidence based best practice through benchmarking andclinical guidelines. Undertaking appropriate clinical audit to improve clinicaloutcomes
Inspire and develop positivecollaborative working relationships across the multidisciplinary team; workingwith the wider team to ensure effective clinical governance is incorporatedinto day to day practice
Promotemultidisciplinary discussions around complex case management, ensuringsystems and processes in place for managing results, letters, and tasks.Undertake clinical risk assessments and implement management strategies forrisks

- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
