About Webdoctor

Medihive, trading as Webdoctor, is Ireland's leading digital-first healthcare provider. Having pioneered virtual GP consultations, we are now expanding into hybrid clinical care by combining the convenience of telehealth with high-quality, in person services. Our new Dublin 2 clinic is a fully equipped, modern healthcare facility designed to deliver seamless, patient centred care across a broad range of general practice and specialist services.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner to join our growing team and help shape the future of primary care in Ireland. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward thinking healthcare company at an exciting stage of growth. As a GP in our hybrid clinic, you can deliver high quality consultations to patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions, supported by a dedicated Practice Nurse, Practice Manager, and integrated clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Webdoctor is dedicated to delivering integrated, patient centric primary care through our innovative hybrid model. As a General Practitioner in our new Dublin 2 clinic, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between cutting edge digital health services and high quality, in person clinical excellence. This role requires a commitment to comprehensive care, ensuring that every patient benefits from seamless continuity whether they are engaging remotely or in the clinic, supported by modern technology and dedicated clinical staff.

Clinical Care
  • Provide core general medical services to patients within the safety limitations of the Webdoctor clinic environment.
  • Have input into and oversight of specialist clinical services as appropriate and agreed.
  • We welcome GPs who are keen to explore and develop specialist service areas within the practice, contributing to the expansion of our clinical offering.
  • Video Consultations: Embrace and utilise Webdoctor's digital first approach by providing high quality, remote consultations (video and telephone) alongside in person care, ensuring seamless continuity of service for all patients.
  • Ensure continuity of care for all patients, effectively managing the transition between virtual and in person consultations.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Nurse and wider clinical team to manage chronic disease and implement preventative health strategies.
Clinical Governance & Quality Oversight
  • Compliance with the clinical governance agenda within the clinic, including assisting in the development and regular review of clinical protocols, performance data, and patient safety incidents (e.g., significant event analysis and complaints review).
  • Ensure adherence to all medical protocols, clinic policies, and clinical governance standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Complete patient records accurately and promptly using the clinic's electronic medical record system.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Work collaboratively with the other GP colleagues, Practice Nurse, Practice Manager, and wider clinical team to ensure efficient, high quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients. Facilitate the training and onboarding process for new clinical staff, including GPs, Practice Nurses, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
  • Act as a mentor and guide to less experienced clinical team members, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and high clinical standards.
  • Provide professional support, which may include supervision, to other GPs and allied healthcare professionals within the Webdoctor service.
  • Work with the digital healthcare team to develop and manage hybrid healthcare services, where appropriate.
Service Development & Management Interface
  • Actively contribute clinical expertise to the strategic development of new services and clinical pathways, ensuring innovative offerings meet regulatory requirements and patient needs.
  • Support the phased rollout of new clinical services as the clinic grows.
Person Specification Essential Requirements
  • Full specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
  • Experience in general practice - minimum 2 years post specialist training preferred.
  • Strong clinical acumen across a broad range of presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, patient focused approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Up to date knowledge of medical best practices, national guidelines, and relevant legislation.
  • Right to work in Ireland.
Desirable
  • Experience in or willingness to develop skills in specialist areas.
  • Experience with digital health platforms or hybrid care models.
  • Interest in contributing to service development and clinical innovation.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary based on experience with transparent progression.
  • Structured working hours with no on call commitments.
  • Pension contribution of 3% employer contribution after 6 months.
  • Discounted Laya Health and Dental Insurance.
  • A modern, fully equipped clinic environment with state of the art diagnostic tools.
  • Supportive, collaborative team with dedicated Practice Nurse and Practice Manager.
  • Opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and specialist training which will be influenced by service needs.
  • A genuine opportunity to shape the growth of a new clinic and influence service delivery.
