Key Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team at our Cladbeg Asphalt Plant.
As a General Operative you will be responsible for: Supporting, assisting, training and develop in the following terms;
- Training in all aspects of material testing to relevant standards
- Training on weighbridge operations
- Training on loading shovel
- Training on asphalt plant operation
- To ensure environmental standards are maintained and prevent spillages
- To ensure product quality is maintained
- To assist with repairs during breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance.
- To comply with health and safety procedures and policies to ensure the role is carried out without risk to self and others.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working in a quarry or construction materials manufacturing environment
- Experience operating plant or machinery in construction/quarry or similar industry
- Experience and competency to carryout routine and planned basic maintenance
- Ability to complete housekeeping/cleaning around plant

- Ability to work closely within a team

- Adaptable to changing environments
- Acceptability - non abrasive style
- Ability to plan and organise own work area
- Problem solving ability to daily issues
- Works to the company controls
Key Relationships:
- Ability to work within a team
- Maintain effective working relationship with plant and contracts employees and third parties
- Good communication skills with the plant management to raise problems
