The Company

A leading global organization in the scientific and healthcare industry is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant for a 9-month hybrid project (32 hours per week) based in Naarden, Netherlands. The Role

This position requires a skilled professional who can take ownership of daily accounting operations from day one. The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial administration, particularly in accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany processes, and Dutch VAT compliance.


The Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders and book goods receipts.
  • Record purchase invoices using ImageCapture.
  • Prepare and submit Dutch VAT declarations.
  • Issue and manage intercompany (IC) sales invoices and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile IC AR/AP balances during month-end closing.
  • Execute payment runs to third parties and intercompany entities.
  • Maintain vendor, customer, and raw materials master data.
  • Support general ledger accounting, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.


The Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in AP/AR, intercompany reconciliation, Dutch VAT, and general ledger accounting, preferably in a multinational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong command of both English and Dutch.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with ImageCapture and Exact Globe is a plus.
  • Familiarity with purchase order processes is an advantage.
