About the Role:
Our client seeks a highly motivated and adaptable General Ledger Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your financial and interpersonal skills within a collaborative, high-performing environment. You will contribute significantly to the timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting and contribute to the ongoing success of the organization. The initial 3-month fixed-term contract offers the potential for extension based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Meticulously process and record financial transactions via journal entries.
- Support senior accountants in monthly and annual financial closings, preparing high-quality reports to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate on various accounting projects, working effectively with senior staff and management.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, managing journal entries and ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams on high-priority projects.
- Manage significant volumes of numerical data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proven proficiency in ERP systems (Sage experience highly desirable).
- Thorough knowledge of Luxembourg and IFRS accounting standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of Luxembourg tax regulations.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
- Relevant professional development qualifications (ideally within a corporate setting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Sage and Power BI a plus.
