We're seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee construction operations for a major project in Dooradoyle, Ireland. This role is ideal for someone highly organised with a strong background in site management and health and safety standards. It offers the opportunity to work with a leading contractor on exciting projects, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.
Location and Working PatternDooradoyle, Ireland - On-site with flexibility for some remote work.
Client OverviewOur client is a highly respected construction and engineering organisation delivering complex projects across Ireland and beyond. They are known for excellence in safety, quality, and project delivery.
Responsibilities- Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
- Set up the site and maintain site security and presentation standards.
- Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trade activities.
- Apply for temporary service connections.
- Interpret drawings and specifications, and communicate directions to site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities are completed.
- Request outstanding information from the professional team and confirm verbal instructions.
- Assist with obtaining necessary approvals to ensure safe project progression.
- Review buildability and identify methods of construction for programme/commercial advantage.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Co ordinator to implement site environmental controls.
- Attend and document site, subcontract, and internal meetings.
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety management training.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works and Excavation Safety.
- Experience with permitting requirements for live energy works.
- Ability to work at heights and with scaffolding.
- Understanding of lifting, cranage operations and other HSEQS requirements.
- Previous experience working on civils and commercial projects.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex drawings and specifications.
