GCSE Maths Teacher

Position Overview

West Midlands/ temporary / £25 - 32 per hour depending on experience.

The Head Teacher at a mainstream college in Warwickshire seeks an experienced GCSE Maths teacher for a long term contract until the end of the academic year. The role involves teaching, inspiring students, and driving them to higher-level achievement, while implementing the school's curriculum and supporting excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths instruction to a diverse cohort of students.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lesson content aligned with the curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to achieve outstanding results.
• Implement the school's schemes of learning and maintain best practice teaching standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, pupils, parents, and safeguarding teams to foster a safe, inclusive environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• First class or 2:1 degree in Maths.
• QTS, PGCE, or DTTLS with evidence of experience in a further education setting.
• Experience teaching young people in a diverse setting.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience or user friendly knowledge of SEND and safeguarding policies (desirable).
• DBS on the updated service.
