GCP Data Engineer - Europe (Remote) - 11 months

About the Role

We are looking for a GCP Data Engineer to strengthen the Supply Chain Department of our client, a global FMCG company. In this position, you will play a key role in building analytics capabilities and automation solutions within the logistics domain.

You will focus on transforming data from SAP systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting that support strategic and operational decisions. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP into GCP.
• Automate analytics and reporting for logistics and warehousing operations.
• Produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain teams, Digital Services teams, and external partners.
• Translate business needs into scalable, technical data solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Python (especially for ingestion), and BigQuery.
• Solid knowledge of data modelling principles.
• 3-5 years of experience in similar Data Engineering roles.
• Experience working with SAP data extraction is a plus.
• Previous exposure to Supply Chain or Logistics environments is highly beneficial.
• A proactive problem solver with strong analytical thinking-not just someone who writes code, but someone who understands why.
