Take on a long-term contract role with strong earning potential and consistent social housing work as a Gas Engineer, completing kitchen refurbishment works across domestic properties in Cheltenham.
You'll be responsible for managing the full gas and plumbing workstream across kitchen refurbishments, from initial visits and first fixes through to sink installations, cooker refits and final gas testing. This would suit an experienced Gas Engineer who is confident working independently and maintaining a good level of daily productivity.
I'd love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Gas Engineer, Heating Engineer or Domestic Gas Installer within social housing, planned maintenance or kitchen refurbishment programmes.
As a Gas Engineer, you will be:- Completing pre-start visits and initial gas works
- Carrying out first fixes, including cooker point alterations and hot/cold pipework alterations
- Completing second-fix sink installations
- Refitting cookers and carrying out final gas testing
- Managing the full kitchen workstream and completing required documentation
- Working within occupied social housing properties
- Skilled Blue CSCS Card as a minimum
- Relevant domestic gas qualifications
- Previous social housing experience
- Experience working on kitchen or bathroom refurbishment programmes
- Ability to complete works efficiently while maintaining the required standard
- Flexibility to cover additional sites when required

This Gas Engineer role offers approximately £260-£300 per day for someone capable of completing the full required daily workstream. There is also the potential to work on a price-per-kitchen basis, with productive engineers able to earn around £1,500 per week depending on completed works.
Location & travelThis role is primarily based in Cheltenham, with flexibility to support other sites where required. Engineers based around Bromsgrove may also be well positioned for the work, particularly those able to travel between Cheltenham and Birmingham. Cheltenham has convenient access to the M5, A40 and surrounding road network.
