Job Overview 
Job Title: Translator
Department: Language Group
Reports To: Translation Lead
Job Responsibilities - Translator- Perform translations in various CAT tools for assigned clients and projects.
- Translate various types of content such as marketing, help, UI, or regulated content.
- Support the team with copy edit tasks on selected content types.
- Master the standard CAT tools and associated internal tools (e.g., tools for creating queries or checking live UI elements).
- Precisely follow the established translation process, raising queries when needed.
- Follow the style guide and overall client requirements.
- Improve based on corrections made by senior team members and client reviewers.
- Track personal error statistics and work on weak spots.
- Participate in internal trainings and client-organized training.
- Participate in the error arbitration process.
- Meet KPIs in terms of productivity, on time delivery, and quality.
- Take part in internal quality meetings and client quality calls for the whole team.
- Continuously analyze own gaps and seek assistance from senior members.
- Meet goals set by the team manager.
- Perform translations in one or more translation tools for assigned clients and projects.

- Performance is appraised by the Team Lead, including attitude, responsibility, communication, teamwork, and attendance.
- Translators must meet expected performance results consistently.
- Education Level: University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluency: Fluent in host language (both written and spoken), fluent in respective translated language (both written and spoken).
- Experience: 2 4 years of experience in translation/localization/editing or content writing (for Translator); 0 2 years of experience in translation or creating easy to read texts (for Junior Translator).
- Native-level fluency in Irish Gaelic and English, both written and spoken.
- Good understanding of the localization process.
- Good user experience of standard software such as Windows and Office applications.
- Experience with CAT tools and ability to learn new localization tools quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and linguists.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle varied situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Fast learner, motivated, versatile.
- Ability to work with a remote team (if home based).
