Futures Clearing Operations Reconciliations (Vice President)

Citi is seeking a Vice President within Markets Operations supporting our Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage business. The role focuses on tracking and resolving cash exceptions for Exchange Traded products (listed futures) on markets where Citi has memberships. The candidate will build peer relationships and work seamlessly with team members within the wider global ETD team and across international boundaries.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the London-based team on day-to-day reconciliation of ETD cash types and break remediation.
- Lead the determination of pass through fees on ETD products and drive remediation efforts, including supporting complex workflows to root cause resolution with various stakeholders.
- Gain extensive exposure to senior business managers, clients, and product controllers overseeing financial statements and ledgers.
- Implement balance sheet control measures to ensure accurate revenue and transaction expense settlement.
- Identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements.
- Prepare and present clear, articulate status updates to Senior Management and key stakeholders, tailored to the audience.
- Ensure adherence to all control, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage exception reporting and elevate issues appropriately to Senior Management.
- Provide strategic direction and advocacy for supported functions and processes.
- Offer thought leadership to Senior Management by staying informed of industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor practices.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing timely information as required.
- Extensive experience in Futures Clearing and/or Markets Operations management.
- Demonstrated expertise in reconciliations, operations, trade management, and control best practices.
- Proven experience in process improvement and exhibiting thought leadership.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage compellingly with all levels of management and across functional areas.
- Adept at navigating complex, dynamic, and highly matrixed environments, managing conflicting priorities with strong time management and problem solving abilities.
- Strong influencing skills, capable of building consensus and fostering support among diverse stakeholders, including peers, internal partners, external contacts, and senior decision makers.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a continuous drive to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Highly analytical and logical thinker with strong data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to accurately assess risk levels, elevate potential concerns appropriately, and develop effective remediation plans.
