Job Description
THE FUNERAL SERVICES, CEMETERIES AND CITY OF GENEVA (SPF) has the main mission of dignified funeral care for deceased individuals on the territory of the City, the canton of Geneva, as well as any individual who dies in Switzerland or abroad. It assists bereaved families and ensures the management of cemeteries and funeral services. To strengthen its team for funerals, SPF is looking for a FUNERAL ADVISOR or ADVISOR on a fixed-term contract of one year, renewable.Your mission:Receive bereaved families, listen to them, advise them, and guide them regarding the funeral arrangements for their loved one. Be the primary contact between families and various official and/or private organizations. Supervise the smooth execution of funerals. Carry out all necessary formalities with the relevant institutions. Be responsible for the overall management from the body removal to the final resting of the deceased person (urns or coffin). Establish, control, have signed, and deliver to family representatives the estimates of expenses incurred for the funerals. Verify the compliance of the estimate and the data allowing the execution to take place once the arrangements are completed.Profile:Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a counseling position in the field. Experience in the funeral sector, with a sense of listening and the ability to cope with an emotional context. Proficiency in standard software (Microsoft Office). Mastery of French, both spoken and written. Proficiency in at least one other foreign language among: English, German, Spanish, or Italian. Possess a driver's license.
