Job Title: Fundraising Executive (Part-time)

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Fundraising executive on a part time basis to join the Abbey's enthusiastic Development team. We are seeking someone who brings sales ability, tenacity, and a relationship-centred approach to securing support for Ireland's national theatre.

In this role, you will work in tandem with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Co ordinator to develop new corporate partnership opportunities, while also managing and growing relationships with existing partners and sponsors. You will bring a proactive, results-focused approach to cultivating prospects, crafting compelling proposals.

This role is part-time (three days per week) and offered on a 3-month contract basis, with a salary of €45,000 per year pro rata.

Previous in fundraising, partnerships, or sponsorship is desirable, Success in this role requires the ability to meet targets, influence stakeholders, and navigate relationship cycles with confidence and persistence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver tailored pitches and proposals that clearly articulate the Abbey Theatre's case for support and impact.
  • Actively pitch to a pipeline of potential corporate sponsors
  • Partner with internal teams to create compelling funding propositions, engagement plans and impact reporting.
  • Design and implement meaningful supporter engagement initiatives and activations that strengthen relationships and increase lifetime value.
  • Produce accurate impact reports for supporters and pipeline.
  • Work with Communications team to align fundraising campaigns, digital presence and collateral with supporter objectives.
  • Support the planning and delivery of cultivation and stewardship events in Ireland and the UK.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity in Tessitura CRM.
  • Represent the Abbey Theatre at events as required

Personal Specification: Essential skills

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a fundraising role
  • A demonstrated history of strong supporter retention and development at corporate and individual level.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational and project management skills, and the ability to create good working partnerships internally and externally.
  • The ability to assess and identify what motivates donors and use this understanding to build and deliver partnership and sponsorship propositions.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritising to best meet the organisational needs.
  • Proven experience of fundraising innovation
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, and building successful interdepartmental relationships.

Eligible candidates must be:

  • A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA consists of the Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway; or
  • A citizen of the United Kingdom (UK); or
  • A citizen of Switzerland, pursuant to the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the free movement of persons; or
  • A non-EEA citizen who has a valid work permit.
