Full Time Relief Chefs - Derby & Surrounding Areas

Pay rate: £17 to £20 per hour, depends on chef level, job role, shifts and experience. Pay rates will be discussed at the start of each assignment.

Shift & Contract

Variety of shifts - day, evening, weekend, night - with the option to tailor to your commitments or boost your hours and pay. Full time contract, with flexibility.

Locations

Primary: Derby & Derbyshire. Also serves Nottingham and Staffordshire. Roles can lead to permanent work or remain flexible.

Client Environments

Clients include hotels, restaurants, gastro pubs, golf clubs, catering sites, care homes, schools, nurseries, prisons, and more. We strive to match you with comfortable environments.

• Cook
• Breakfast Chef
• DBS Chefs / Cooks for schools, care homes, prisons
• Chef de Partie
• Sous Chef
• Head Chef, Chef Manager, Catering Manager
• Event / Conference / Banqueting Chefs

Service Environments Provided

• Contract catering sites including industrial catering
• Garden centres and farm shops
• Hotels, pubs, restaurants, golf clubs, and events
• Schools, nurseries, universities, hospitals, care homes, prisons - Enhanced DBS check required (we provide)

Working Times & Shifts

Chefs are expected to work days, evenings, weekends, nights. You can choose preferred days and receive a mixture of shifts to suit all needs.

Commute

With many locations across Derbyshire, commute details vary. If you use public transport we will assign only locations with links; if you have a car we will offer varied sites.

Requirements & Skills

• Previous experience as a chef, up to senior Chef de Partie role
• Flexibility to work night shifts and last minute shifts as required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Level 2 food hygiene certificate (ideal)
• Passion for food
• Ability to work under pressure
• Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle (if required)
• Own chef whites and chef knives
• Current Enhanced DBS, valid within last 12 months (providing at cost if needed)
