A lovely family of five seeks an experienced and hands on Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy family home on a private estate in Berkshire.
The property is a five bedroom residence plus additional estate buildings and grounds. The family wants a proactive, reliable and highly discreet individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards and enjoys creating a well organised and welcoming home environment.
This practical role focuses on housekeeping and laundry. The successful candidate will manage the day to day upkeep of the family home, ensuring it is presented at a high standard, while providing flexible support wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities- Daily cleaning and upkeep of the family home
- Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the property
- Family laundry, ironing and garment care
- Bed changes and linen management
- Household organisation and general tidiness
- Assisting with the care of two family dogs
- Running occasional household errands
- Providing flexible support to the family as required
- Occasional cooking or meal preparation (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience working within a private household, ideally within an HNW environment
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and genuine pride in work
- Reliable, trustworthy and highly discreet
- Proactive, organised and capable of working independentlyEnjoys being hands on and taking ownership of role
- Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
- Child and dog friendly
- Full UK driving licence and own transport due to estate location
- Excellent checkable references
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-6:30 pm, with occasional weekend support
- Initial 3 month contract with potential to extend
- Live in option available if required
- Salary: £45 000 - £50 000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Near Newbury, Berkshire.
Minimum experience: 2+ years in a similar role.
