Senior Full-Stack Engineer (PHP & JavaScript)

Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid - flexible onsite)

Salary: €85,000-€100,000 per year

Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role

We're hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong experience in PHP and JavaScript to join a growing tech team in Amsterdam.

You'll help build scalable applications, lead feature development, and shape technical decisions across both front and back end. This is a key role in a collaborative team working on modern web products with real impact.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain applications using modern PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue).
• Write clean, secure, scalable code - both front and back end.
• Help shape system architecture and API design.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• Review code, mentor junior devs, and lead by example.
• Contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and team discussions.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

• 5+ years in software engineering (PHP + JavaScript).
• Experience with Laravel or Symfony.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and relational databases.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams with Git, CI/CD tools.
• Fluent in English.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Docker, AWS, or cloud hosting.
• Unit testing / TDD.
• Dutch language skills (not required).
• Experience in a scale-up or product environment.
