Overview 
Job Title: Front-End Developer (React / Node.js) - Contract
Location: Hybrid (Northern Ireland based)
Duration: 3-6 Months (initial contract, with potential extension)
Day Rate: Competitive / DOE Outside IR35
We are working with a NI based business embarking on an exciting greenfield digital project that will deliver an innovative new platform to market. This is a unique opportunity to get involved at the ground floor, helping to define the technical direction, architecture, and user experience for a product that is being built from scratch.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain front-end applications using React.js and Node.js.
- Contribute to the technical design and architecture of a brand-new greenfield platform.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Ensure best practices in performance, accessibility, and security are built in from day one.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and decision-making on tools and frameworks.
- Strong expertise in React.js (hooks, context, state management, component lifecycle).
- Solid experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven track record of delivering front-end applications in a commercial environment.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
