Responsibilities

French Speaking Senior Accountant
Location: London
Hybrid work: 2 days a week in the office
Salary: £50,000 to £52,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Main duties:
Manage your own client portfolio while leading and supporting junior staff to deliver high-quality accounting services - ensuring compliance, strong client relationships, and technical excellence.

The role:
• Full responsibility for your own portfolio of international clients
• Oversee deliverables to ensure they meet internal standards and client expectations
• Review and validate management reports, VAT returns, payroll, statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
• Line manage junior team members (must have experience managing at least one person or an assistant) - set priorities, conduct performance reviews, and support development
• Provide technical guidance and training, ensuring high standards of UK compliance
• Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients; act as the primary point of contact for any queries
• Support workflow planning, reporting and risk monitoring
• Ensure internal systems and compliance processes are followed accurately
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support internal initiatives

Candidate's Profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years' UK practice experience
• Fluent in French to business level (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience managing a portfolio with strong organisational skills
• Must have experience managing at least one person or an assistant to demonstrate people management skills
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT, payroll and basic corporation tax
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Confident using Sage, QuickBooks, Iris, Excel and cloud-based tools
• Sponsorship visa available for the right candidate

£50,000 to £52,000 per annum plus full medical package, pension and social activities
