A respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their Stockport office on a part-time basis, working 2-3 days per week. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor with a strong consultancy background to support a busy and growing cost management team.
The Freelance Quantity Surveyor
The successful Freelance Quantity Surveyor will be working within a consultancy environment, delivering professional cost advice across a range of sectors including commercial and industrial (sheds/warehousing). This role is well suited to a Freelance Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable managing multiple projects and engaging directly with clients.
As a Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you will provide full pre- and post-contract services in line with consultancy best practice. The Freelance Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing detailed cost plans and feasibility estimates
- Managing tender processes and procurement strategies
- Producing valuations, cost reports and final accounts
- Providing professional advice to clients and stakeholders
- Supporting contract administration duties
- Proven experience working as a Freelance Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
