We employ about 2200 people in various production facilities of which the largest ones are situated in Mexico, Brazil, Czechia, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and South Africa.

Currently we are looking for a Freelance Procurement Category Manager in Lummen (Belgium):

BOSAL Group is developing its Purchasing organization, seeking to maximize its sourcing power and to raise its strategic sourcing professionalism, methodologies and tools to a world-class standard. Within this context, the Procurement Category Manager for raw materials will be responsible for managing the supply base of raw materials on behalf of BOSAL worldwide. While we have advanced well in centrally sourcing raw materials, there is still scope for further consolidation as well as developing new suppliers and supply markets.

The category consists of all externally provided raw materials that are used to assemble BOSAL finished products for all divisions. The most important materials are steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Also some critical components that are strategically outsourced to 3rd parties are included in the scope.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and align the category sourcing strategy with internal stakeholders;
• Define and validate the category objectives on Quality, Cost and Delivery performance (QCD), in line with the business targets;
• Develop, monitor and execute the Purchasing Sourcing Plan for the category;
• Manage the commodity supply base and report monthly commodity KPI's;
• Provide commodity forecasts (price and availability) to guide decision making;
• Support Program Buyers to achieve program performance targets
• Functional management of 1 - 3 Plant Sourcing Manager

Your skills and expertise:

• Completed degree in Engineering or High Business school;
• 10+ years' of experience in International Purchasing at division level within the automotive industry or equivalent;
• Strong leadership and (people) management skills;
• Advanced negotiations skills;
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
