Job Description
Freelance IT Helpdesk Support Engineer (Antwerp)
We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer to provide first-line technical support for our Client in the Logistics Sector. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems related to hardware, software, and networking issues. As a part of the IT support team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues raised by end-users via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues, including operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications (Microsoft Office, etc.), and company-specific software.
- Assist with network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN, etc.) and guide users through basic troubleshooting steps.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support teams (2nd/3rd line).
- Ensure timely follow-ups with users to provide updates on the status of their issues and ensure resolution satisfaction.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, printers) and peripherals.
- Install and configure software applications as per company requirements, including operating systems, office software, and custom tools.
- Assist with the setup of new workstations for employees, including the installation of necessary hardware and software.
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and managing access to company systems and applications via Active Directory or other identity management tools.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies for system access and data protection.
- Assist with routine system maintenance, including applying software patches, operating system updates, and antivirus updates.
- Monitor and report on system health, performance, and security updates to ensure that all devices are up-to-date.
